Shelters are often inhospitable places for people who identify as LGBTQ and often we hear first hand accounts from our community members who have remained closeted when receiving social services for fear that their peers may discover and discriminate against or harm them. Help Burners Without Borders, The Rainbow Center & Oasis Youth Center make our “Point in Time” project more accessible to the homeless LGBTQ youth population.

Successful Oso Mudslide - WA National Guard Search & Rescue

On Saturday, March 22, 2014, a massive landslide devastated the small communities of Oso, Darrington and Arlington. The massive task of rescue, recovery and cleanup is on going.
